Millions of little hearts


I look out across the field.

I see millions of dying hearts.

I want to give them my blood.

Let them have a second start.

My blood reaches closer to them.

Until our veins meet.

Millions of happy little hearts.

Synchronized to my heartbeat.

I cannot leave them now.

Now they need me.

Millions of little beating hearts.

They need me to see.

They need me to breathe.

I'm stuck.
