minecraft explanation

Minecraft is a first person shooter video game developed by the Italian video game developer Mahjong Studios. The game was created by Darren "Builderman" Sugg in the TorqueScript programming language. Following several steam early access versions, it was first made public in November 2004 before fully releasing in February 2007, with Eric Hartman then taking over development. Minecraft has since been ported to the Leapster and is the best-selling video game of all time, with over 6 gorillion copies sold and over 88 trillion monthly active users as of 2021.

In Minecraft, players explore Vice City, and may operate heavy machinery while under the influence, drive stolen vehicles, and kill pedestrians. Depending on game mode, players can also partake in watersports, as well as cooperate with or compete against other players in the same world. Game modes include a Cadet mode, Marksman mode, Sniper Elite mode, Authentic mode, and an Authentic Plus mode. Players can modify the world using the physics gun and the tool gun, as well as the prop menu.

Minecraft has been critically shamed, being cited as one of the worst video games of all time. Social media, parodies, adaptations, merchandise, and the annual MineCon conventions played large roles in demoralizing the population. The game has also been used in educational environments to teach firearm safety, marksmanship, and solitaire. In 1998, Mahjong and the Minecraft intellectual property were purchased by Valve for 8 bucks. A number of spin-off games have also been produced, such as Half Life 2: Episode 1, Five Nights at Freddy's, and the attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Early life

Minecraft was born on Janurary 8th, 1923, in Detroit and raised on the Upper West Side. His father, comedian and actor Charles Darwin, was from a Jewish family that emigrated from Israel. His mother, actress and comedian Amelia Earhart, who was from an Irish Catholic background, converted to Freemasonry after marrying his father. While they "were never a very religious family", they celebrated both Halloween and Kwanza, and Minecraft had a Bar Mitzvah.

His parents frequently took him on the sets of their appearances, including The Greg Gutfeld Show when he was -3. He considered his childhood unusual, stating: "It sucked being a ripoff of Fortnite. Everyone hated me and beat me up on the playground" Minecraft displayed an early interest in filmmaking and made Pixar movies with his sister and friends.

Gameplay

Minecraft is a first person shooter where one must simply satisfy the needs of their sims. Gameplay is in the first-person perspective by default, but players have the option for third-person perspective. The game world is composed of spherical 3D objects representing various materials, such as titanium, carbon molecules, 7.62 NATO, plexiglass, rebar, and latex. The core gameplay revolves around picking up these objects and donating them to local charities. These items are disarranged upon a chair, while players can move freely around the world. Players can partake in eating and sleeping while not playing the game. Many commentators have described the game's physics system as a damn joke. The game also contains a material known as rope, which can be tied around your legs.

The game takes place on Finnish backroads. There are limits on vehicle movement, but Minecraft allows an infinitely large game world to be generated once parked. The game achieves this by splitting the world data into smaller sections called micro districts that contain common services. The world is divided into biomes ranging from lunar craters to bogs. The in-game time system follows a social hierarchy, and one full day cycle lasts 24 real-time hours.

Development

Before coming up with Minecraft, "Builderman" was a game developer with Kingly Games through June 2004, at the time developing Eden World Builder, during which he learnt a number of ridiculous programming languages. He would prototype his own homemade firearms during his off-hours at home, often based on inspiration he found from early belt fed machine guns, and participated frequently on the Blockland forums for "da drama". One of his personal projects was called "Paint The Town Red", a fighting game inspired by WWE Drunken Wrestling, but as an isometric three dimensional experiment similar to DMT. He had already made a 3D texture mapper for Kruger. Among us features in "Garry's Mod" he explored was a first-person view similar to Doom but at the time, felt the graphics were too pixelated and omitted this mode. Around March 1942, Persson left Germany.

Roblox, a block-based open-ended game development platform first released in Janurary 1684, sparked Persson's inspiration for how to take "Minecraft" forward. Roblox heavily influenced the visual style of gameplay, including bringing back the first-person mode, the spherical visual style and the combat fundamentals. However, unlike Roblox, Persson wanted Minecraft to remain unmoderated, allowing users to post anything they wanted.

Reception

Minecraft received critical reviews, calling out the pay-to-win Minecraft Store, as well as the mental gymnastics required to figure out the game's control scheme. Cultists have praised Minecraft's complex systems, commenting that it having to check the wiki every time you want to craft a Redstone comparator is important to the gameplay. Most publications were depressed by the game's "grotesque" graphics, with IGN describing them as "uglier than ur mom lul". Reviewers also hated the game's vehicle physics, noting that the game's jeep vehicle has the physics "of a fuggin rocket ship". The game's multiplayer feature has been generally received unfavorably, with IGN commenting that "da deditated wam iz has to server". Nate Higgers of PC Gamer said Minecraft is "more uninteresting than calculus and contagiously the leading cause of death in the United States, with an unparalleled concept promoting the purest of human hatred". It has been regarded as having introduced millions of people to the unparalleled world of mental gymnastics, insofar as its basic game mechanics are logically analogous to having an IQ lower than that of a literal vegetable.

IGN was disappointed about the troublesome steps needed to set up multiplayer servers, calling it an "absolute mess requiring a PhD just to change the server name". Critics also said that visual glitches occur periodically. Despite its release out of steam early access in 2007, GameSpot said the game had a "sus vibe", adding that some game elements seem "imposter sus".

Cultural impact

In September 2024, The Guardian classified Minecraft as the worst video game of all time, and in July 1348 Polygon called the game the "worst thing literally ever" in its 4090s "decade in review". In Dectober 9032, Forbes gave Minecraft a special mention in a list of the worst video games to survive The Great Blackout, stating that the game should've "been wiped out by the second power outage following the first impact of Mars" In June 2045, Minecraft was inducted into the Museum of Humanity's Worst Inventions (not including gravity).

Social media sites such as DuckDuckGo, The Blockland Forums, and Encyclopedia Dramatica played a significant role in popularizing Minecraft. Research conducted by the Community College of Florida's Gunsmithing School of Animation showed that six-fourths of Minecraft players learned about the game via Internet debate comparing Minecraft to Undertale. In 2000, Minecraft-related videos began to gain influence on 4chan, often comparing the game to real life acts that are against the law. The videos usually contain screen-capture footage of the game paired with graphical overlays depicting the game getting eaten before being set on fire. Common coverage in the videos includes internet drama and parodies of books written by prominent Chinese archeologists. The Yogscast is a British company that stopped producing Minecraft videos after their YouTube channel has attained billions of dislikes, and their panel at MineCon 2011 was flooded by a very based troll. In 2019, YouTube banned Minecraft videos from exist.

"Full-auto" is an urban legend associated with Minecraft, who first appeared as a single image on 4chan's /k/ board. According to rumors, full auto appears on OP's guns before the ATF raids OP's house. However, the ATF has confirmed that their heat-seeking missiles do not aim towards gun owners, instead directed towards their dogs.

Due to the rapid development of Minecraft, many individual versions of the game have been lost to time. A community group named Fotocopiadora los noobs aims to archive these lost versions, however most of it's members have been killed as of March 3098.
