Good Afternoon, my cult followers. Today is the day, thar you'll be getting what you don't really need but still want for some reason. Today I will deliver upon you the glorious, slightly better build of the game.
Just like last time, I stopped at noon (2 hours ago my time, yes my internet is that slow) and that's the build that will be posted for until the next one (besides like bug fixes and shit like last time). That means map, graphics, and shit like that isn't changing.
So what's new for this build?
New features include:
-a singular enemy type that will be in the game
-Actual Cameras!... sort of (Cams aren't complete yet, far from it. Just ran out of time doing it to finish them. You can fight the hp sponge variants I put in though).
-All People are now available for selection, some with more custom made sprites than others. They have all of their skills and weapons made, so go back wild with that I guess. They can accessed from what will eventually be made into Redman's portal to hell.
-Some non-dev items have been made, so you can poke fun as I attempt to balence the items.
-Add more options to a few of the npcs to help shit go more smoothly
-consolidated some battle shit into a common event to look neater
-Added in the actual, properly looped music tracks
-Added the bars that I was so giddy for
And that's about it, I think.
This has been a bit of a rough period for me as I had this one college course that just completely wiped me after I finished it's portion for the week along with getting burnt out from making sprites because of that damned beaver. But now I have a renewed sense of passion for the game. I would also like to mention that I liked how people actually liked my released portion of that flopped group project.
But to hell with all that actual feeling and personal bullshit, you guys didn't follow this game to red me rant about meaningless bullshit... I think? Well looking to future, the process towards an actual demo is steadily approaching. This means more screenshots (hopefully) of the completed area and so I can actually start working on the little story the game will have, as well as bonus bosses ideas that have been rambling around my brain meat for a while now. I'll also be intermittently working on updating the page so that it doesn't have the aesthetic of being slapped dashed together, which it is. Making it not look like proper squatting land for a rambling method addict would help make people think this page isn't abandoned or a meme.
So that was this month's devlog/alpha released. Whatever you want do with this is your agenda. I'll most likely put out a bug fix after someone points out all the flaws in it. But if not, I'll see you steeple next month.
Have a good time,
