This monthly progress update is gonna contain the least bit of progress in any monthly update for this AU to date. I’ll be honest, I took a bit of an unannounced hiatus from the AU for a while. I was a bit burnt out on how to progress the AU forward since the writing for the script was put on a standstill at a certain point, my main spriter has gone out of commission for a while to improve his art and generally improve his mental health and I had a lack of spriters to compensate for that and music progress had also come to a standstill. So ultimately, I took a short break from the AU and after I had, I reached a decision with the AU.
A reboot:
That’s right, A Tale of Danmaku is going to be going through a reboot of sorts. Anything you see now may be replaced in the future, as well as the name of the AU. The first revealed bit of info about the reboot is that the Chara replacement has been changed. Chara is no longer in the AU and has been replaced. Who the new Chara replacements are will be revealed soon, so stick around for that, as well there will be a new prologue written for the AU, to give a bit of backstory on the AU and to reveal Frisk’s reasoning for wanting to travel to Gensokyo. This will be released on a later date so stick around for that.
It’s gonna take a while for the demo of the game to be released with all the work that needs to be done, however, if you want to you can help speed up the process by joining the team. Team applications are still open and we could use all the help we could. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns then go ahead and leave a comment or DM me on discord and I’ll try to help as best as I can.

With that being said, this monthly update is pretty much over. There’s gonna be some updates to tracks in the OST, as well I am going to be practicing my coding skills. There’s lots of work to be done, so there’ll most likely be a lot of radio silence as we work on the things that need to get done, but as we get stuff done, I might start releasing some gameplay footage as soon as I can, so stay tuned for that. To the fans that have stuck around for this long, thanks, I hope you will continue to support the AU and I hope not to disappoint, Merry late Christmas and happy holidays. - SuperSilvulus
