Awesome new stuff the past couple weeks such as new Steam Workshop features so you can share your vast virtual worlds as well as 2 new JavaScript website spawners to help you bring the 2D web into the 3D world.
With these 2 new spawners you simple browse the full website until you’re looking at an element you wish to spawn, such as a comic from Garfield or a VR experience from Oculus Share. Then you just click the big green SPAWN NOW button that appears on the screen and AArcade will use powerful JavaScript to analyze the HTML and extract the information needed to automatically generate an amazing 3D cabinet for you to place in your arcade.
Are you ready to share, player one? Now in AArcade you can share your entire massive 3D media desktops with everyone, worry-free! AArcade removes references to local file paths and does not send copyrighted game or movie files over the net. Instead, AArcade will link your friends to their own favorite websites to get their hands on the game or movie. Not everybody likes to shop at the same store, so AArcade gives you the freedom to continue using your own favorite sites.
The soft-launch of the new Steam Workshop features has been live for a week now, and with over 200 pieces of community addon content ranging from single videos to entire buildings packed with games, there is already plenty of diversity to keep your arcades looking fresh. Special thanks to all of the awesome community members for sharing to the workshop or hosting live multiplayer servers! I had a lot of fun last week in that Free to Play expo server, BurnsLord’s TRON arcade, Verm’s servers, and all of the other cool places and cool people that took part in last Wednesday’s live Twitch stream on Twitch.tv/AnarchyArcade. Here’s some highlights of just a few of the great stuff now available on AArcade’s Steam Workshop.
Hidden in the middle of a run-down city, behind a 3 foot thick steele vault door, is YOUR personal dream land. This custom-made addon map starts off with a very awesome vault opening sequence, then you are granted access to the most epic “panic room” you can imagine. Mine has enough music & movies in it to last until the nuclear fallout is over.
Do you like Zelda? Of course you do! Well, this arcade keeps you in the zone with Zelda stuff everywhere you look! It has shortcuts to the games, then on the wall behind them are walkthrough videos and speed runs. With over 600 subscribers already, this Zelda paradise is sure to get an update this Wednesday during the live Twitch stream.
Be prepared for the past with this awesome Back to the Future pack featuring the movies and an awesome DeLorean time machine prop for you to use in your arcades! Remember, in AArcade all shortcuts are intellegent, so the Back to the Future movie shortcuts will launch what ever version of the movie you have access to! You don’t have to have the exact same version that was used to create the shortcut!
Suggestion: You really ought to try out Anarchy Arcade, Master. Observation: It is growing in popularity amongst meatbags. Extrapolation: You don’t want to be left behind, do you, Master?
