Johnathon Crane was a therapist at Arkham Asylum. He created a chemical gas for experimental purposes to progress in the patients’ therapy sessions. The patients recalled themselves seeing what they feared most, and Crane found this very fascinating. He perfected the chemical gas and the patients after breathing it in screamed in agony, screamed in fear…for all they could see was their worst fears…as if it was in the room with them. Workers at Arkham thought he was crazy, thought he was a madman. Crane was later fired, and he sought revenge. He later realized the chemical gas he created could be something…more. Months later, someone broke into Arkham Asylum, freeing all the prisoners. The chemical gas Crane created (what he now calls Fear Toxin) flooded the vents. All you could hear were the screams of the workers coming from inside the asylum. When the GCPD got there, all the workers could recall that night…was a scarecrow.
