The first thing that struck me about Save The Comet was that you didn’t control the main character -The Comet.
The second was that Save the Comet didn’t exist, not even as an Idea before everyone headed to Global Game Jam Istanbul 2012. As I didnt know much about Global Game Jam, these two points in particular sparked my interest.
What is Willis talking about I hear you say, Well I will let Project Manager & Game Designer Oz Tova Suman explain a little further in response to my question ” how did you all end up a Global Game Jam 2012?”
Oz “It was like there is a cool event called GGJ and we always thought about making a game! Let’s go and try it!. Yeah, as you can read from http://www.savethecomet.com/about.php it was really a snowy winter day and we were stuck in the building:) It was Ice-Cold outside and we were there to make a game in this fabulous weather with nothing to do but focusing on the game. This was our first attempt for making a game and we really started Game Development at GGJ12 :)”
