Hello everyone! After being announced last month, here is finally the interview with @ElPichon the creator of The Bunny Graveyard.
An indie game that is still in progress and really looks good. In this interview the objective was to know more about the game and to know what things are planned in the future. Well, with that said, we can start with the interview :)
Interview
Q: How come the hands are alive?
A: The Handy Pals have something inside of them that brings them to life, but its origins are unknown… for now.
Q: What is the game inspired by? I see airs of Doki Doki Literature Club and Pony Island
A: I think my biggest inspirations would be Yume Nikki, OneShot and Undertale! I’ve seen a lot of people compare it to Doki Doki and Pony Island and although I’m aware of those games, I wouldn’t say I was inspired by them. I can see some similarities, but when I compare them to the full game, I don’t think they matter that much.
Q: The "Boxers" ost is inspired by "It's Raining Somewhere Else" from Undertale? They sound strangely similar
A: Yes, it was, and I even consider it a bit of a tribute to Undertale itself, that scene in particular was one of my favorite scenes in the entire game.
Q: Do the events seen in the trailer happen, before or after what was seen in the demo?
A: Most of the events in the trailer happen AFTER the demo, which might seem a little weird now, but once you get to play the game, I think you’ll understand why.
Q: Chapter 1 (Complete) will be paid?
A: When the game comes out, you’ll be able to purchase it once and get the rest of the chapters as free updates
Q: Is there a reason why the game will be released in chapters?
A: The main reason the game will be released in chapters is because we think this is the perfect way to deliver the story, this is like five different games in one, and we want to make every chapter the best it can be. I can’t go into specifics, but this game is not what you think, it’s going to be a crazy experience.
The second reason is that even though we’re a team of two people, I’m the one who does the art, music and programming for the game and I need time to make this game a real thing. I want this game to be an unforgettable experience, but programming games by yourself is hard!
Q: What is Skye's favorite food item?
A: Strawberries
Q: Do you think that you are ready for whatever is and may come in the future?
A: I’m ready for anything, nothing will stop me from making this game!
Q: How much do you think the chapters cost?
A: The game will cost $4.99 at launch, and the rest of the chapters can be purchased at the same price. There will be a DLC called The Bunny Graveyard - All Chapters and it will be available for $14.99 at launch.
If you purchase The Bunny Graveyard - All Chapters DLC, you will be able to play newly released chapters at no extra cost.
Q: Will the game have some kind of discount on the day of its release?
A: Hmm, probably not.
Q: Will 4/1/1992 be relevant in the future to The Bunny Graveyard lore?
A: 4/1/1992 gives you a tease of what the story is about, the rest is up to your own interpretation.
Q: Will there be more characters in the game?
A: Absolutely! Some of them might even surprise you.
Q: Why did you choose a rabbit as the protagonist?
A: I like rabbits.
Q: For what reason the Skye's eyes turned purple in the "cinematics" of the game?
A: She got some contact lens so she could look cooler.
Q: Is Skye rabbit a victim or an antagonist?
A: She is the protagonist of the story, that’s all I can say for now.
Q: Will be subttitles in other lenguajes?
A: Probably sometime in the future, we know a lot of people have been asking for translations, but right now we want to focus on finishing the game itself.
Q: When the game will be complete, do u have plans for port it to android or consoles?
A: We don't have any current plans for an Android release, but consoles is something we really want to do, but it mostly depends on how well the game does.
Q: Boxers will become important?
A: He's important to me
Q: On a personal level, how big and ambitious do you consider TBG? and because?
A: I consider TBG to be a pretty ambitious title but even with all the stuff that's left, I'm pretty sure I can finish it by myself.
Sometimes I do experience a bit of burnout, but once its over, I work pretty fast.
Q: Do you consider TBG an ambitious project?
A: Yes and no.
If I were to tell someone the entirety of this game from start to finish, they would most likely think it's pretty ambitious.
But I personally feel like I have the skills to make this by myself.
Q: If TBG was excellent (in reviews and earnings), would you plan to make a sequel?
A: I feel like it's a bit too early to talk about that, we still have yet to see what's to come.
Q: Final question, what keyword do you give us for the TBG lore?
A: A keyword? Hmm, maybe "spider"?

Well, that would be the whole interview. Really maybe it wasn't one of the longest I've done, but I really think it reveals some pretty interesting things about the game and its future!
I am very grateful to @ElPichon for allowing me to interview him and, of course, I wish him the best of luck in his future projects and I hope he is very successful. He is a very talented developer!
