When dazai joined the Port Mafia he basically was all depressed and gloomy and shif and he clearly disliked mori and stuff so uhm yeah !!! when he found akutagawa he decided to make him his ( what's that word again was it superior somethinf ) and so dazai pushed akutagawa to use his ability and he treated akutagawa like dog water in general , I'm highly positive akutagawa thinks highly of Dazai because dazai took him and his sister into the port mafia , a place where they have a roof over their head and gave him a reason to live , akutagawa could see dazai as either as a father figure or brother figure ( either one works ) and he doesn't wanna disappoint dazai. Dazai was rough and harsh on akutagawa , which leads to akutagawa being rough and harsh on whoever, making him genuinely a non empathetic person ,, and when Kyouka came along and was taught how to be an assasian ( since verlaine taught her ) , akutawgawa was her ( superior I think is the word idk ) and he treated her like a murder machine and was harsh and rough to her. ( due to how dazai treated him ). And kyouka was clearly broken ever since her parents died but then atsushi ( my baby❤️ ) came along and genuinely saved her RATATAGRDUUABERH ,, I genuinely wonder what could happen if Atsushi wasn't caring enough to save Kyouka , or if Dazai just decided not to take in akutagawa .

the point ;

mori abused dazai mentally ( possibly physically by making him do missions idfk, but the port mafia in general was depressing for dazai )

dazai abused akutagawa mentally and physically ( dazai was harsh and rough towards him with words, putting things into his mind and he forced him to work harder to be more harsher with his ability. Dazai was making him into a murder machine )

and akutagawa abused Kyouka mentally and physically ( he used his ability on her to make her back leak out blood☹️, and he was calling her horrible things like dazai )

but yeah so it was an abuse cycle ,, mori abused dazai , dazai abused akutagawa , akutagawa abused kyouka. ( atsushi broke the cycle )

please keep in mind that Dazai and Akutagawa aren't in the right for abusing one to another. Just because you went through something does NOT mean you have to pass it down onto someone else.
