Its a new year, and another time to make a post on Gamejolt I guess.

But in all seriousness, this has been an iffy topic for me considering why last year I decided I didn't allow fangames of my stuff.

There had been drama with a user known as BarrysArt. I let this guy make a fangame of my fangame (fangame ception, I know) because I didn't see why I shouldn't allow fan stuff. Later Barry started drama towards another use named TheLostShadow. He didn't. So drama started. Then for around a year, I hated the thought of fan works of my stuff. That is, until Aero confessed something to me.

Around this time, I thought Aero had siblings and a cousin online who went as Seinko43. But that wasn't true at all. Turns out Aero had Multi-Personality Disorder. MPD is exactly what it sounds like. You end up having multiple personalities. Aero is an only child and Seinko43 is just his alternate. TheLostShadow and BarrysArt are also just his alternates. But when the original drama sparked, I didn't know this. Hence, why I stopped supporting fangames of my things. But when Aero confessed this to me, I thought about it for a little bit. And now, I've decided on how I feel about fangames of my things.

I have no right to stop you from making fanart or fangames or whatever. I've come to accept that. But I still do not support it. My reasons for this are that when people make unofficial continuations of things, I often feel like some things don't make sense or don't line up with what was seen in what they were continuing off of. Its just that unofficial continuations often don't make sense to me. I'd rather have one storyline that connects up easily and makes sense then a timeline made by multiple people that makes no sense. Do you see what I mean?

Sure, people could make their own timelines. I wouldn't support it, but I can't stop you from making your own timeline.

The only fangames of mine that I could care less about what you do with are:

-Any joke game I've made (Cheese Bunny, Dee's, Jonathan's)

-FNAF Story Mode (discontinued by me)

-Any gamejam game I've made (Mysteries of Fazbear Ent, Withering Madness)
