I don't know if I will get hated for this, but I just thought I'd share this for fun.
For those who do not know, I'll make this quick. Jonochrome, developer and animator of One Night at Flumpty's, Riddle School, and Can't Food. (+ a lot more!) Recently, an anonymous Twitter user going by the name of Fulcrum/@Anonymacalgears, made a tweet detailing events of Jonothan supposedly dating someone who was underaged when he was in his 20s. Now for what I think... I should note that whatever I say here is MY OPINION or MY VIEWS on the situation. I just suggest you be polite when you hear/read them. You are entitled to feel differently.
I do think what Jonothan did here was irresponsible, questionable, confusing, and all around weird. Maybe not fucked up? But if you feel that way then, go ahead. However, if there's one thing that does tick me off, is when people say that Jono is a pedophile and a groomer. If you ask me, I think that's objectively wrong, and that he ISN'T a pedophile or a groomer. Before you start going on a tirade in the comments, let me explain why.
If you look up on Google and look up "Define Pedophilia" or "Define Child Grooming", you will find these; Pedophilia is when someone is sexually attracted to kids. Grooming is where someone is trying to befriend or gain someone's (ie minor in this case), so they can take advantage of them.

Now, let's review what happened in the Jonochrome situation. I don't feel like doing a proper dissection, of these screenshots, but they basically they go into detail as to what Jonothan's relationship with a minor known as Emi was like, and it shows that Jono did plan to meet her, and that the relationship was a *ROMANTIC* one (note how I put a huge emphasis on romantic). However, none of said screenshots showed Jono doing any explicit sexual misconduct with Emily. No dick pics sent, no sexting, no asking for nudes, nothing like that. Heck, even with Jono's response, he said that he wasn't a pedophile or a groomer, there's also no evidence shown in the screenshot like he and I in this post said. However, he DID confirm that the screenshots were indeed real. Meaning he DID date a minor for a few years, and he DID plan to meet her, and he DID plan to marry her. Which, again, I do think that's irresponsible and questionably weird. But moving on, the post basically said Jono and Emi were not going to date ever because... Duh. But they both had a lot of things in common and... Well, they kinda fell for each other. Again, irresponsible, weird, etc., but still, not pedophilia or grooming objectively speaking. He stated that they ALSO MADE IT CLEAR NOTHING SEXUAL WILL HAPPEN. And he stuck to that, and when he WAS going to meet her, she was already 19. Soooo, yea. That whole pedophilia and grooming accusation is pretty much thrown out the window. Twice in a row. After that, Emi stated that she wanted to find other romantic options but knew he didn't mean any harm, and Jono didn't knew any better, but he did and vowed to not make that mistake again. Honestly, he handled it well.
Emi also made her own response, however she deleted it some time after and I couldn't read it. But based on what I heard, she did say that Jono and her are on good terms now, the relationship was by no means toxic, nothing was sexual, and she stated that she had forgiven him. Well, there's the third time the grooming and pedo allegations are thrown out.
And what was worse was the aftermath imo. Again, I was not there to see it myself, but based on what I heard... It was a disaster. People kept pushing her that she was indeed groomed, she should've been traumatised, that she should've done something, that Jonothan was a pedophile. And like... No. There was no definitive proof of anything like that, unless Emi was lying or being held hostage by Jonothan or being threatened by him, what she said was how she felt. Stop trying to speak for her.
Honestly, the more I look at this clusterfuck, the more I think that... Either the community are the real assholes here or Fulcrum is. Again, feel free to disagree on the latter, but I'll just put my reasons why... On the community first. They keep going on and on about how Jono was a horrible person, when, he isn't. He made a bad mistake, sure, that's undeniable. But to dehumanise him and say he should be cancelled is just.. No. Like, yea. I guess he does need to be called out or be criticised for it, but all the other things said to him??? No. And again, people also try to speak for Emi saying that she was indeed groomed and that she just does not know that, when that wasn't true at all. At least, according to her from what I gathered (Again, hadn't seen the tweet so I'm just going from what YouTube comments and tweets said, sorry!). And I can't help but feel that Fulcrum just.. Kinda unnecessarily reignited the flames. Seriously, just based on what we DO know, who exactly did this help? Jonothan is now being portrayed as the devil, people are now speaking for Emi when they shouldn't be, people are saddened by the news, and so on. Yes, I do agree Jonathan deserved some criticism for it. Yes, I do think what Jonathan did here was weird, irresponsible, confusing, and questionable. But Mandopony he is not.
Honestly, to me, this entire drama was just pointless. Hell, I'd say this is more pointless than the Scott Cawthon drama. At least based on what we did know, he was donating money to politicians who are considered an enemy to the LGBTQ+ community. And yes, I know that was not his intention and that he donated to them for different reasons, and that he DID donate to charities that also support said LGBTQ+ communities, but still. I can actually see what he did as being harmful. Even if he did donate to help the politicians to help make the US great and NOT the whole anti-lgbt thing, the politicians could've used it to do harm to those communities, with or without his consent or knowledge. (Whether that actually happened is beyond me.). With Jonathan and Emily? Where's the severe harm other than the ones potentially inflicted to Jonathan by the people who accused him of such things? Other than the people who told Emi how she should feel? Other than the people who were heartbroken by the news? Who benefitted here? (That question can also apply to the Scott Cawthon thing too)
BTW, not saying Scott deserves to be cancelled, I do think what happened to him was bad and unnecessary too.
Overall, I'm just... Sad. This year we had two major icons in the fnaf community all end in a bittersweet note. Most on the bitter side.
These are just my takes, if you think you cannot support Jonathan after hearing that, think he should be criticised, think what he did was fucked up, that's fine. Perfectly ok. If you think Fulcrum had the right to do this and possibly didn't know any better, that's fine too. I don't know if this will stay up for very long and I may stir up some controversy and I may end up banned. But we'll see how this goes.
Jonochrome, by the very unlikely chance you read this, thank you for the Riddle School/Transfer series and the One Night at Flumpty's series. You made great quality games and were an inspiration to me even before I became Nightshade Creations (previous account name) in 2020.
Scott, sorry for including you here as an example. I don't think you deserve to be cancelled either. Hope your retirement is going well.

It's best to date someone who is 2 years younger or older than you. It's how I go when it comes to relationships.

Please be careful out there. Especially if you are a minor and a female. There are people who DO want to take advantage of you. And just be careful with who you speak with. Especially online.
