So yeah, Im making a 3D FNAF game where you can walk around the map.
here's the shared project:
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/579229112/
It doesn't use vertices much as in X, Y, Z-axis stuff like that. It's different from the usual D7 Engines. This one is using a technique called raycasting if I'm correct.
I just need help with making the walls look better. Right now, It looks 'Uneven' with bumps and stuff cos I'm using Pen. If anyone knows how I can change it so that I'm not using pen and instead, costumes or cloning, that would be great thanks. I am planning on adding more stuff later such as AI, objects etc, but I'm focusing on the map for now.
The bottom line, what I want is to replace the pen with detailed costume sprites. sorta like in DOOM but using raycasting. this is hard to explain and I feel like I'm repeating myself but just to clarify, my goal is. Make the walls not look like shit. use costumes instead of pen while using the raycasting technique.
If this somehow becomes successful, I might submit it to be added to the list of D7 engines. I might also make variations and a template so others can use it. It's quite a simple technique thing and I think it may be easier than 2.5D stuff in the usual D7 engines.
