Neighborhood Watch Devlog #1

Wuzzah! So over the past few months, I've been working on a small game called Neighborhood Watch.

As I'm writing this, the game's near completion. I've been debating with myself about whether or not I should have a devlog. I'm still not sure about my decision. I'm doing more of an experiment than anything else.

There's very little left to do for the game. It's entering the last stage of testing soon. I've been implementing sound effects. A title screen still needs to be added. Then there will be polishing in multiple places, and the game will be ready for release.

The only thing I'm worried about is music. Music production is slow at the moment. The producer, Gyrfalcon, is still in school. That takes up a large chunk of his time.

As of now, the game is playable from beginning to end. I've, in theory, played the game's levels twice now, once when making them and second when I did a playthrough.

As the game's developer, I'm the worst person to judge the quality of it. But I think it's, at worst, a decent time waster. The game's short. I don't even think it reaches two hours if even one. I still think I did everything I could've with the idea I had.

I've had thoughts about making some bonus levels in the future; A more difficult challenge for those interested. The game isn't difficult per se; It just requires focus and a little bit of planning.

Overall, the game's quickly coming to a close. I'll be posting more devlogs as the project draws near its end.
