Hey Y'all
Been another hot minute since the previous post but the game is going good I'm still been working on it. But I wanted to announce my new development plan for the game...
The New Plan:
This has been a thought I've had in my head for a while but I didn't know how well this plan would have been received, and after pitching this idea to some trusted friends and fellow developers all have given positive responses. So because of that, I feel really confident in going forward with this new plan.
Basically...
The game won't come out in full, but instead will be released in different parts over time.
Now, you may be wondering what will this early release contain? Well, if I can manage, I'm wanting to have the following...
Three characters: The Original, The Maimed, and the third character that's being saved for Trailer 3
A progression system. This is to keep the player busy during each update.
A "Free Night (name pending)" Mode: A one-night mode that is completely randomized with a difficulty based on you're skill level. More will be revealed on release.
And (maybe) a bit of the Campain/Story Mode. Yes, this game does have a story mode and I want this to be the best it could be.
And like I said before, this was something I've been thinking about for a while now but didn't know what to expect. The reasoning for this plan is because I wasn't having as much fun developing this game as I used to and I hate taking this long pause after every devlog with nothing to show because I want to keep things a secret. And not only will I be having more fun developing the game it will give people something to look forward to.
So anyways that what I wanted to say. I could've just went with the plan anyway and not tell anyone but I figured if I did that would cause some negativity on release.
