New freighter, based on Ebal Studios Void Whale. Can anybody guess why an interstellar cargo vessel might be designed with a giant springboard in the back?
It’s been difficult to find a ship with an appropriate poly count. Ebal’s modular examples let me take this ship and remove a lot of stuff - particularly from the unseen bottom, but also a lot of miniature turrets and chaff you can’t really see. Then added the spring and side engines.

Back on this project. Added damage locations to the freighter. Looks pretty good, I think.
Asteroids now visibly take damage and have more interesting explosions.
