Hey, what’s up ?
So as you know, I’m (still) working on the new Project Kunami (I’m getting a better name too :D ), and I decided to let you all know how it is going.
Before I start the Update, let me just say, Thank You! Thank you all for your support, your comments, your plays, everything! It really means a lot to me, knowing people play my game(s), and that’s what makes me move forward, so THANK YOU.
Let’s start the Update shall we? I’ve lot to type.
Current Status
The current status of the game is… well.. it’s going alright. If you didn’t read the article where I announced the new version of the game, then let me tell you that I started from the “Storage Hunters” Map, basically it’s a place with lots of storage units (which you can buy, and get it’s content), and that place is infested with zombies. Which zombies you may ask? Well no, not the last ones, with pants and stuff, ahaha, I got new models, (for free :O) and so far I’ve got 4 different zombies (well, 3 of them are different variations of skeletons, but it still counts as 4 right?) and there are more being made.

Other Infos
The Offline part of the game is going just fine :) Oh what was that? Offline part? Yes! SURPRISE!! I’ve been working on the Online/Multiplayer part of the game for the past 4 days, and it’s all going pretty good since it’s my first time creating a online game in Unity, so it may take a while to get things the way they should be. But I must say, If i get it right, this wil be The Game. I’m basing the game on the already released DayZ, but making it better, as the gamer wants, and without the pre-alpha bullsh*t. When you put your hands on the game, you will have a full working game!
So as you can see, I’m not fooling around, I know you guys probably want some screenshots, I’ll get them as soon as I can, but I don’t want to scare you guys with the unfinished look, but I’ll take my chances.
Online Infos
This one is still very early W.I.P, but It’s taking shape very quickly, I’ve been working for the past 4 days on it, and you can already setup a server, invite friends and kill them :D
I wanted to tell you what I’m thinking for this ONLINE feature:
A friend of mine, suggested a system that rewards the good players, I agreed 100%. So basically, when Online, you can (ofcourse) kill other players, OR you can team-up with them. Doing the latter, you will win more XP (and dont get me started on how easy is to survive in a group right?). With the XP you win, you can develop “skills” that will enhance your ability to survive. Skills like “Hunger” that will keep you without hunger for longer periods of time, and “Stamina” that will make you run faster and longer. This is on the paper yet, but soon enough will be implemented.
So THANK YOU for your support, and all your feedback, you guys are the ones that keep me moving forward with this and I want to say that IT REALLY MATTERS, anything you have to say, SAY IT, good or bad, just say it, It’s with feedback that we can make a great game. A game truly made by players for players :)
