New UI Updates Live!


Good Evening Pilots!

Over the past few days I have been collecting all of your comments and suggestions and weighing them against what I want this game to become.

Your input has been awesome!

Many have addressed concern regarding finding their targets, having to rely too much on the mini map for direction. I have now implemented a small enemy indicator under the player giving direction to the closest forward enemy. The distance should also give a good indication of whether or not you wish to pursue that enemy or find another closer one by simply turning the ship in another direction.

Another addressed issue was not know when or how the player was damaged. In the current build, I have made the player shields pulse more vibrantly, implemented combat text (for player and enemy) and made the player health counter flash when damage is taken.

Aside from those issues, I have also coded in a reload system. Guns now only have 350 shots and have a 5 second reload, Missiles have 3 shots and a 10 second reload timer.

To top all of this off, I’ve increased the amount and variety of enemies in each wave. I hope this will shorten gaps of blowing stuff up :). To balance this enemy increase, I have made each enemy do slightly less damage to the city. I’ll keep and eye on tweaking those numbers… I hope I got them pretty close already :)
