We know it's a little late, but Happy New Year guys! It's been a tough year considering how development on the game was a bit shaky, but we're happy to bring you the last demo for the update! This one now contains the 1st through 6th Nights along with the Extras Menu. We know we missed the 2nd Anniversary for 1R back on December 23rd, as well as the 7th Anniversary for TRTF as a fangame series, so we apologize for that. Hopefully, the contents of this new demo will make up for it.
Considering the gap of time between the last release of 1R+ and this, as well as the fact that this devlog will now become the pinned one, we've decided to provide about ALL the new inclusions in this .exe as well as information regarding the future of the project:
What's changed between the Halloween and Anniversary build?
Apart from the after-mentioned Nights 1-6 and obvious bug fixes, the game now has actual FNAF2-like rewards for the Custom Night Challenges that appeared in the Halloween build, designed and modeled by the amazing @BasicallyHats. The Extras Menu that was teased in the showcase video is also now included in the game, with 4 sections full of trivia about the game, its characters, and teases about future game segments. We also have an amazing surprise in store for when you beat any of the in-game nights; trust us, when you fire this game up, your little TRTF is gonna start quaking.
Something that has caught our attention, though, is how many people missed out on some of the minor easter eggs that we thought would be obvious to spot, but it seems like we guessed wrong. With that said, we think you guys should try messing with one of the Office's assets, as well as trying something "classic" in the Custom Night Menu...
Why does my antivirus/browser recognize this game as a threat?
For those of you worried about a supposed virus or spyware detected in this game, don't worry it's a false alarm. Most Clickteam games have this issue, actually. Here's a little link for more info: https://community.clickteam.com/threads/102482-How-to-prevent-fusion-games-to-be-detected-as-virus
Why's the game been taking so long... again?
We know that it's almost been a year since the Major Update was announced and that we should already have it finished by now, yet we still have some stuff to cover. I obviously won't repeat the same reasons I stated in the last devlog since those are already of your knowledge by now if you've seen it, but with my graduation from high school as well as the personal/occupational issues that come with that, it's been tough having to work on this update with those obligations roaming around.
However, I still am deeply sorry for not getting this out in time for the anniversary, and sad to inform you will most likely have to wait a little longer for the new characters and story to appear in the game. Hopefully, the next build will be the last. For now, just have this little overcompressed .gif to know that we are working on it.
Thank you all for your support, and we hope you enjoy the demo!
*Be sure to report any bugs/things you think could be polished by the way
