New Year, New Patch...Build...thingie...I think. (1.2.2)

+ [14/01/2021 - Patch A notes]

Hey everybody! It's me again, ya' boi Nickolai Filipanov! I told you that a new patch-build-thing will drop in January, didn't I? You thought I was gonna delay it yet again for an actually dumb reason? Ha, haha, ha. No. You still got it anyway.

Of course it could've been uploaded fairly earlier, yeah, but I've been on a tiny little holiday break, unwinding from a fairly big amount of Pepsi consumed over at the New Year's Eve dinner table, but hey - I am back again, and I am finally putting this out, as promised, in January of... 2021, aka this year!

So yeah, okay, what are the changes, god dammit?

  • I've done some fiddling around, took my time to do some things without removing anything important... and now the game's .exe file is now a bit smaller than 1 GB!

  • Added support for Nintendo Switch Controllers! Yeah, you didn't read this incorrectly. If you're gonna play SixFive Nights at Treasure Island with a Switch controller (like, almost any), you'll get an option to switch between the Pro Controller, a singular and/or two Joycon controllers by pressing either HOME or CAPTURE buttons! (although I'd advise you to connect the Left Joycon first and then connecting the Right Joycon next...but I know most of you will be playing this with a Pro controller (if you have one, that is), but it's always nice to provide more options, right?

  • Now, speaking of options - minor spoiler alert for those who didn't beat Night 5 yet... - I know this has been a bit overdue, but I actually managed to get the night selection options working for the controller input. What took me so long? I'd rather not tell, because I don't want to name any names responsible for the way the thing's coded in. Heck, neither do I know who did. And I'll never know. So I don't care. But it's finally there now.

  • ...Oh yeah, and remember I said that DualSense support would come in this update? Well, it did, but apparently a long time ago, and I didn't happen to know that until I actually got myself a DualSense controller on this Holiday. And since the game can be played with both Dualshock 4 and DualSense controllers, their control prompts have received a minor visual overhaul with a bit of a more "universal" style.

  • Oh yeah, and they both have conceived a child while I was on break.

  • I've known that the heartbeat can be still heard in the main game section sometimes, even if you don't hold down CTRL or A/CROSS, so... I did more fiddling around and that minor audio bug shouldn't be present anymore. I think.

Patch A Notes - 14/01/2021 "v.1.2.22" - Oh, whoops. Missed a few spots.

  • The score should no longer accumulate, and the Game Jolt Leaderboard has now been reset. If you want to continue competing in the leaderboards and/or collect trophies, please update the game now.

  • Fixed Photo-Negative Mickey crawlin' out of Hourglass during the power outage in Night 6.

Well, okay! That's all the time I've got. I gotta get back on working on my own personal things, aswell as figuring out how FNaTI is going to work on Android devices.

Have fun, stay safe, wear your goddamn masks (and gloves) already, and stay frosty!
