Hey hey everyone! It's me! Sorry for being a day late, I decided to take a break after yesterday's antics. We'll get into that later in this Devlog! We don't have a lot to talk about, but we have some things, and I'll make up for it with some explanations! Now, let's get into it!

Time to Blast to the Past!

That's right, if you were out of the loop, I made a silly DLC titled: "Nexitron: Blast to the Past!" Which was a short April Fools joke I made for fun! I usually do something for April Fools and I has basically forgot that April comes after March. So I had to work fast! This past week was just spent making this entire thing, Most of the time went to the 2 Levels made for the game. While the Main RPG Game took one day and one full night. It was actually crazy that I managed to complete it! I hope you all enjoyed it, and if you thought that this was a April Fools joke with no real game, Look on the game page! It's there to play for everyone! It's not the greatest, so keep that in mind cause again, I did make the entire game in one night. Now, I'm sure you have one question...

...Is Blast to the Past Canon?

The answer is. ...Sorta? Some things like the ending were made for fun, but the beginning has a huge lore implication! And I'll explain it for fun!

In the beginning, We see Melty watching a news report from Ziggy. The same can be seen in the Announcement Trailer. Ziggy reports that "A New Scientific study has been made in relation to different dimensions." This is before Melty falls asleep. The whole game is practically a dream by Melty from hearing this news. Now a bit of spoilers below for the ending!!

In the ending, Rob tells Melty to "Check his mailbox when he gets home," or, "wakes up" This leads into the main game, which, if you've played the Tech Demo, you know that in the beginning of the game, Melty arrives at Cubey's house. In which he tells him that he got a letter from The King in the mail. Revealing that "Blast to the Past" was a prequel to Nexitron and takes place the day before the Main Campaign! How did RobTop know about the mailbox? Was Rob the actual Rob and not just a part of the dream? We will never know for sure ;)

But yeah that's the story of Blast to the Past! It was very fun to make, despite me completely ruining my sleep schedule, but I think it was all worth it to make something funny!

The Soundtrack, Previews, and recognition!

I almost forgot! Earlier last month, we premiered our very first "Scratching Post Live Presentation!" a Nintendo Direct like styled presentation for all of our new projects! And upon those was Nexitron! In that video, we showcased the newest level: Snowdown! Which will be a remake of the GDPS Remake of the level made by DAPixelhero! (This will be the last time you see Snowdown again for sure lol) Playtesting that level is so so fun! It's really good! You can watch the Extended Preview here!

We also announced another song along with it!

  • Technizite - An All Nighter's Sunrise

You can watch the reveal for that and it's level, along with the first reveal of Snowdown here!

Seems like Technizite, the music artist for An All Nighter's Sunrise found the reveal video a couple of days ago and seems to absolutely love it, which I am super excited and happy about! If they're reading this, we're glad to have your stuff in the project! When I first found that song I knew I had to include it in somehow. You'll be able to play the level coming up in the demo! Speaking of.. The demo!

The DEMO BAYBEEE

That's right, if you haven't heard, we announced that the Official Full Demo will be releasing sometime this Summer! I leave no guarantees, and other things in regards to other projects might pop up, BUT, I am feeling really confident in this date. I am working hard to get it all under wraps and finally get this thing somewhat done. And so far, we're getting close! I can't say what will be in the demo, but rest assured it's a good amount of stuff!

Well that's pretty much all I have. There haven't been any additions this month other than the DLC, so no need to add that this month. Feels great discussing and releasing things again! Let's hope we don't have to wait any longer for more stuff-

Happy April everyone! Until Next Month!
