Given that they were corrupted versions of the sprites that were all over the school area, the very first version was just a very simple edit of the school npc sprite (see below), just mangled up and given an admittedly goofy face. Afterwards, it became clear to me that they really did not look that good, so I went back to them with a new direction in mind. That's when I got the idea to instead make the sprites look torn up and glitchy, and to make them look like they were actually in a car crash. Now this was my first time doing something like this, so it does look a bit sloppy, but I think they came out much better. Also funny enough, they became the basis for a new version of the school npc sprite afterwards. So it all came full circle.
