So you might be slightly confused with this character's mechanic, which I apologize as it's HORRENDOUSLY explained.
when ??? laughs (and isn't directly in front of you) you search on the cameras.
When you come across this character on the cameras, do not switch the cameras, close out of the monitor. (spacebar)
wait until there's a "black fade" on the screen to open the cameras again.
sorry this is really poorly explained in game, i'll release a patch soon trying to explain it better.

11 Years of FNAF is so crazy lol, I literally grew up with this series.
