Nightmares Before Disney: OUT NOW!

This game, from conceptualization to the first release tonight, took 2 months and 10 days to make. Do I expect a lot of bug reports? Absolutely. Do I expect this to be revolutionary for the fangame scene? Definitely not.

This game is a passion project. For years, I have had tremendous love for the concept of these nightmarish characters in this unknown and incredibly odd labyrinth. With NBD 2020, I aimed to try and recapture that classic feeling, to reasonable success. I’ve since accepted that achieving that original feeling is just impossible to accomplish, no matter how much you downgrade the game or “charm” it up. That time in the community is gone, and from my experience, you feel no more satisfied at the end of your efforts as you are at the beginning.

Yes guys, I’m saying it here first: charm is overrated.

With this game, I aimed to look beyond the scope that NBD has always been confined to. I thought to myself, couldn’t this be so much more?

I then took that concept and I actualized it.

This will not be for everyone. Because most importantly, this is for me. Regardless, I hope you all enjoy playing it as much as I have enjoyed making it.
