Devlog — DELTARUNE: Susie’s Story (November 2025)

Development Progress Update – Made in Godot 3.7

Hey everyone!
I’m back with another development update for DELTARUNE: Susie’s Story, and November has been a very productive month. A lot of core systems are now fully integrated into Godot 3.7, and the project is finally taking the shape of a complete experience.

Below you’ll find a full breakdown of the game’s progress, including story flow, sprites, scenes, cutscenes, and more. Thanks for following the development!

This month’s focus has been polishing the foundation of the game. I completed several new test scenes that connect different parts of the story, allowing me to test dialogue transitions, character movement, and camera behavior more smoothly.

One of the biggest accomplishments was starting the early cinematic sequences for Susie. These scenes define a lot of the emotional tone of the game, so getting them right is extremely important. They are still early, but the timing, expressions, and mood are already working nicely.

Art-wise, Susie’s new sprites are now going through a refinement stage. I’ve also added experimental “expression frames” inspired by DELTARUNE that give Susie more personality during dialogue.

Music progress has slowed slightly due to technical adjustments, but the tracks currently in testing already set the atmosphere perfectly. Expect more polished versions next month.

Overall, the game is now entering the stage where everything starts fitting together, like assembling the final puzzle. There’s a lot to do, but the progress is steady and exciting.

Thanks again for reading—and stay tuned for December’s update!
