If you have seen my last post on this page and bothered to check the spoiler-filtered image you, of course, have just witnessed a teaser of the Fantasy Update this game is going to have

But i haven't really explained what exactly is the Fantasy Update, so with this half-assed section included just to follow-up the elephant in the room joke out of the way...

WHAT IS THE FANTASY UPDATE?

I have already explained my thoughts on the game in that post, saying the game is a 6/10 at best, but why did i give it that ranking? There is a lot of things that make Shadow Nights quite underwhelming for today's standards, sure it was my first ever game inspired by my friends' other games, but i can't just leave it as it is, especially considering how much i improved as a developer now that i have proper knowledge on things

The Fantasy Update aims to improve and fix a lot of the issues in the game such as lack of lore, outdated artstyle and mechanics that make the cameras useless until night 5. The reason why it is not a remake is because a remake implies to change a lot of things, and i don't want to change the game, i want to improve it for the definitive way to play Shadow Nights (A Shadow Over Villca's keeps that spot, for now)

WHAT WILL IT CONTAIN?

-More Cutscenes! (Including some of Milo and Fate's friendship)

-Up-to-date Artstyle!

-Improved Mechanics!

-Lore Minigames!

-Cameras are useful this time!

-HARD GAME

-Just as much humor as you can imagine!

-Friends!

-OCs!

-Friends OCs!

-Friends >>>OLD<<< OCs!

-Darkened Office where you will need your flashlight most of the time!

And many more things i forgot to mention

WHEN WILL IT BE WORKED ON?

I would tell you if i knew tbh it's up to Lan to decide when, he's the artist after all, but when it IS being worked on the first things you will notice is probably the gamepage

And before you ask, no, i'm not going to remove the old version of the game, it will stay in the page if you still want that nostalgic glimpse :P
