Hey guys! Short update today :)
Amongst a number of other content changes, we have a few new bits and pieces in the work. I’ve been focused on implementing more NPC interactions. On the list this week is both NPC shops and trading.
These mechanics are available with a number of NPCs in the world, and are a means of allowing you to both acquire general-purpose items without necessarily having to search for them in the world, as well as a means of selling items back to NPCs.
As a small side game, NPCs may have particular items they are looking for. Selling these items to the NPC will offer a far greater return. You can also try and sell general items and NPCs will make you an offer. Certain “junk” items will likely not gain any traction or be offered for minimal value. Generally selling an item will not offer a great return for value, unless it is something the NPC is after.
On a final note, both the shop content and trading desires are fixed. In any given day, an NPC can run out of stock. The stock will only be refreshed periodically, so you wont necessarily be able to keep going back to the same NPC to get what you need.
Similarly, different NPCs across the world will sell different types of items and also offer up items at different rates depending on both your relation to them and just the type of NPC they are.
Hope this update gave a little more insight into where we are at right now :)
Thanks guys!
