   • Pepper - Flamethrower effect for 1 minute

   • Congealed pepper - Freeze AOE move for 1 minute (think, the Freeze copy ability from Kirby's Adventure)

   • Key - Opens locked things (DUH!)

   • Aurora gems - Coin equivalent, collect 5 in a row to regain health

   • Aurora fragment - Secondary collectible, collect all in a world to get the next thing on this list

   • Aurora star - Main collectible, marks the end of a level (occasional secret exits)

3. Background elements for the first world (the game is a 2.5d Klonoa kind of thing)

4. UI:

   • Text (normal and highlighted)

   • Text box (with and without dialogue portrait box)

   • Max and Ellis' dialogue portraits

   • Disassembled dialogue box

5. The goofy bad guys:

   • Peeper - Float still, along a set path, give chase, quite a versatile bunch

   • Fuzzy Wuzzy - Basically, a Boo (Specifically Mario 3 where they were much faster than they are now)

   • Lesser serpent - Jumps out of the water, hit the head to kill

   • Tree-minator - Background foe, shakes pinecones for an attack, dormant until approached

6. The serious bad guys (infant and matured):

   • Spawn - W̷h̵a̸t̶ ̶a̷ ̸p̴h̷a̴l̴l̸i̵c̵ ̵c̶r̶e̵a̵t̸u̵r̸e̶.̵.̷.̴

   • Dish - L̵i̷k̵e̸ ̸a̶l̷l̷,̶ ̷i̵t̷ ̸w̸i̷l̶l̴ ̴r̴o̴t̷.̷.̵.̸
