Hi everybody!
I must admit, I had a really tough time coming up with things to write in this OddLog. The main reason for this, is the fact that for the last 2 weeks I've been polishing and reworking some of the games' aspects, rather than coming up with new ones. But consistency is key and I promised I'm going to write a Log every two weeks. This one may be a bit shorter though...
So, I'm gonna start with the script. Remember when I told you about the cabin in the woods last time? Yeah... So the script had another rework :D. The main concept didn't change, but I've added some more mystery, coziness and comedic value. You know... Cause we all like to laugh sometimes. I also had to take into account the changes, different interactions with NPCs after cutscenes make. Boy that last sentence was a handful... I'm sure I missed a comma somewhere. To the point then. The story is now more enjoyable and whole. At least I think so :D.
Last time I also mentioned the dreaded process of making an in-game puzzle. Well... It is done. After many hours of thinking, designing, realizing, that that's not it, reworking and falling into, what it seemed like, an endless loop, I've finally came up with one, that's going to appear in game! Maybe It's not the most complex puzzle in the history of video games, but at least it's in the right mood, and it's fun.
Now, do you like those flavor texts some of the items in games have? So do I! That's why I'm currently working on some of the more important items in the game. Most interactions in Oddventure will have some fun text behind them, so use the interaction button wisely.
Anyway, that's all I have for you this time... I know you expected more progress, but sometimes you have to stop for a second and perfect something, before you start something new. Still, I hope you enjoyed this OddLog. Till the next time! Stay Odd!
