The balance changes that are going to be present in this next update are going to add a small amount of RNG to the AI of the toons. Sometimes the time they take to get to your office can be shorter or later than expected.
It's not going to be anything too crazy, things will still be fair, but I want to make this change so that the nights don't feel too scripted. This'll carry on to my other games in the future as well.
