I just straight-up thought of this idea while fiddling with a calculator. Sorry for the shoddy copy-and-paste art, but I really wanted to express this idea. I feel like this could work if the levelling is paced properly, and could discourage grinding.

Ok so the fact that you can recognize the brands in the underground makes me ask: How? Are these brands that Frisk knew on the surface? If so, then how did they end up in the Waterfall if the only opening besides the barrier is near the Ruins?
