Ok so I ran into another problems with the publisher for my comic

More infos in the article because I need to rant but TL;DR : They were afraid that I was going to be accused of plagiarism and I have to change the design of a character and the cover


Soooooooo

I shared the sketch of my cover for my comic a while ago with my publisher

They were super happy and told me to continue and start adding colors

I sent the version with colors, they were really happy again

And then I sent the color script I made for the comic, explaining that you usually do that for animations but I wanted to do it with my comic

And SOMEHOW they remember then that they heard about an animated series in a fantasy settings with cats and suddenly they panicked, started telling me that we might be accused of plagiarism and that they needed to think about things I might need to change about the comic

Mind you: I had already started the lineart of the first chapter of the comic and already spent hours making the color script and the cover

Then I received a second email, I now potentially need to remove a whole character for the cover (because apparently I cannot draw 3 humanoid cats facing the viewer on my cover??), the city in the background, change the colors of one of the characters, change the design of the hat of another one and OH MY GOD IT'S STUPID

Can't tell you more than this but the fantasy animated serie with cat has a VERY different graphic style and characters and now I'm just stressed about something dumb and have to wait to know which changes I'll actually have to do and if I have to redraw a bunch of pages...

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
