when Stanley was a kid he didnt have much friends, due to his autistic-ish persona and older kids bullying him. he decided to make himself a friend, an imaginary one, he was named Kevin, nicknamed 'Narry' (Narrator). his parents were very concerned about this and hired a hella lotta psychiatrists and therapists, but nothing worked. they then sent him to a mental hospital

(I KNOW THEY'RE TAKING IT TOO FAR BUT HE LITERALLY SLEEPS IN THE ATTIC. THE ATTIC. he even found a secret room he could hide when his parents want to take him out somewhere, maybe to dinner or smth, bc he's very antisocial, and hates sunlight anyways)

so when he was in the hospital, he made up another friend, Lesley, nicknamed 'Carina' (best i could do) who was Kevin's sister.

Stanley pretended he was mentally stable to get out of hell (aka mental hospital), and he kept that as a facade as he grew up, because his mom died in a surgery failure and his dad started drinking, so he knew if he showed his friends again his dad his going to kill him

the more Stanley grew up the more Kevin and Lesley started to fade. a lot.

Stanley never went to college. or graduate from high school and that made him end up with a job pushing buttons.

but at least he was happy
