Looking into the colourful horizon,
The shadows revealing that this place is infinite,
And enticing me to explore.
The gloss purging all traces of darkness,
The grass bright with a hue of jade,
But then…I watch it rot.
Pixels turn to dust,
Layers of grey that fall through my fingers,
I desperately grasp, wanting a return to before.
I see my childhood visions crumble,
The colours fade to nothingness,
As I lose a promised future we all forgot.
