On 2024/04/30, Roblox will no longer support Android 5 and 5.1, you can read the article for more info.

If you're already running Android 6.0 or later, this won't affect you.

Can I still run Roblox after 2024/04/30?

  • Yes, but continued functionality is not guaranteed because the app will no longer receive updates for players on Android 5 and 5.1

Why is Roblox ending support for Android 5 and 5.1?

  • Android 5 and 5.1 are very outdated and no longer supported by Google.

Who will be affected?

  • There are 5% of users still running Android 5.1. I'm not sure how many Roblox players will be affected by this.

What about iOS?

  • Similar to Android 5 and 5.1, Roblox will also end support for iOS 11 on 2024/04/16.

Before you comment, No. This isn't the first time Roblox has dropped support for these operating systems.

Roblox dropped support for Android 4.0.3 around 2016, Android 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 in 2018, and Android 4.4 in 2021.
