(OUTDATED) Keep on Dancing (Lily Reveal) - December 2021 Update

Hey everyone!

It's been a while.

What's going on?

Since the last devlog, I took time to analyze the game and plan changes where it's needed before it's too late. I've noticed several problems and underwhelming aspects of the game.

The perspective was all stretched, one of the mechanics felt too uninspired, another, boring and stationary. The UI was confusing in gameplay, the cameras didn't have a consistent style and the 3D models needed more polish.

This is why you don't rush a game!

I've gone and updated the whole page with all the updated content. Please let me know your thoughts on it so far!

Lily the Cat

So, you just got your first look at Lily the Cat's new design!

Lily was always supposed to be a dancer. As I was making her new design, I noticed she didn't stand out, didn't look like a dancer and she also had no thought put into her dance type.

So, I decided to make her into a street dancer, as I like the baggy and colorful clothes to contrast with Lily's gray colors. I also haven't seen any street dancers in FNaF, most of the time it's ballerinas.

With the help of @mouse-trap for the outfit design, I'd say Lily got a huge glow up! Give her a follow, if you want to.

Let me know what you think of Lily's new design!

So, that's it!

With this devlog coming to an end, I have to announce that I will not be doing new devlogs any soon.

By delaying this devlog, I had more time to look at things and fix what was wrong. I'd rather just work on the game than reveal things and keep updating the page.

I hope you're looking forward to next year as much as I am. Until next time and happy holidays!

Now that GameMaker is free, would anyone like a tutorial series specifically for FNaF fangames? I could even add some "Fusion to GameMaker" tips too.
