Introducing Grand Larceny: Demo version 2.0
After some valuable feedback, I've taken the time to improve on the base game and made a few big changes!
Added a Dash ability, activated using the space bar. Abilities granted by yellow perks are now activated using the F key instead.
If the amount of enemies on a floor exceed a certain limit they won't spawn all at once.
Spike traps, laser grids and cover walls now all have a chance on spawning in on Floor 6 and beyond! Be careful around the traps, or you'll take damage! And hiding behind the covers will prevent you from taking damage (unless they break and crumble)!
Bosses have received a bit of a rework, now only spawning in three waves of enemies per fight and alerting the player in certain ways before attacking. They also move a lot smoother now!
You now spawn into a mysterious van at the beginning of each run (it's useless now, but will make sense later).
Once every 20 floors, there is a chance of the elevator breaking down, forcing you to perform a maintenance procedure to continue. Sounds easy right? Totally does not involve hordes upon hordes of enemies...
Enemies now no longer drops medkits upon defeat, only doing so if you acquire a certain blue perk...(this makes the game a lot harder but trust me, I'm working on balancing that out in the future)!
A useless cash system is added, alongside the ability to leave the tower and store all your cash that's been collected throughout the run! (Again, will make more sense in the future...)
You can no longer stand inside of enemies to prevent damage (sorry, no hugging is allowed).
The assault rifle now shoots slower.
Now, what's to come in the future?
I will now be working on an early access release, a more complete version of the game if you will. It might take a while to finish, but I think it'll be worth it :)
(And yes, you will actually be able to commit grand larceny once it comes out)
