Hi everyone,
Thanks for taking part in the Game Jolt community!
I wanted to say that I've recently noticed a bit of an influx in posts and comments that are written in languages different from English, mostly Spanish and Polish (but I've seen over five different languages at this point, I'm sure!)
Usually this wouldn't be an issue, and I would never discourage communication in other languages on other platforms like YouTube, Twitter, or on the Game Jolt game pages.
But in this community (and the new subreddit), moderation and discussion has become increasingly difficult for me and other English-speaking members. POPGOES, and FNAF, are games that were developed by people who only know how to speak English, and they have also only been released (officially) in English as well. So it is safe to say that the majority of players/fans here know how to speak in English or are at least familiar with how to communicate with members who do.
So from this point onwards, please communicate in English when taking part in this community.
This isn't me trying to censor or cast out those who speak other languages. This is just me trying to keep this community in a safe and consistent space for all fans of the series. Eventually we may be able to embrace additional languages through other means (like maybe new channels?), but it's important to wait until this community becomes large enough to accommodate that without diluting the members out too much.
I hope this has come across well and that you understand the reason behind this!
- Kane
