I felt sick. The world was spinning.

As my vision slowly returns to its post, I see the visage of a main lobby.

The walls were oddly colorful, for a school anyway.

They were red, with a checkered floor with light tan and dark brown tiles.

There was also a bulletin board with blank papers on it for some reason. Maybe to take up space and look like they're busy.

There's also a door off to the side and a big welcome band with multi colored shapes and red letters.

The colors screamed of a poor attempt to get people motivated for classes when they enter, like trying to wake up and insomniac, only for them to open a jar for you or something.

Now that I've observed where I am, I needed to remember who exactly I was.

E: "Right, my name... it's Erika. Now, what was it that I got accepted into Kan'Icchu Academy for again?"

"It was something you can't train to get better at..."

"Right. I was the Super High School Level Luck."

After I was done recollecting myself, I realized that there was someone else in the room with me.

They seemed to be unconscious.

It seemed to be someone I knew, unless I was mistaken.

I remember him being all over the place. Certainly a lot more than I was. Although I'm not surprised he eventually reached out to me, he was friends with everyone. But I think I mattered a bit more than the rest to him. I even heard him go on a speech about me, about me being so openly unafraid about what people think.

That was the most wrong someone has ever been about me, but I wasn't gonna tell him that.

I was wondering what he'd been up to in the year we were apart. So I shook him awake.

?: "...huh?"

Erika: "J! It's me, Erika! Wake up!"

J: "Woah, woah there, pal! Calm down! Who are you again?"

Erika: "It's me! Erika!"

J: "Oh! Erika! Man, I could barely recognize ya! Well, you've been surely hitting all of your goals, huh?"

"Now that I remember you, give me a minute to remember myself..."

"Alright I got it! Uhh, I know you know me already, but, let me give my reintroduction a little flare!"

"uhh..."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"Whatever, man. Jiraiyah the Super High School Level Sprinter needs no introduction. >:("

Erika: "Heh, a year and you still haven't sharpened that creative edge?"

Jiraiyah: "Hey! I know boys tend to do lighthearted jokes like that, but knock it off!"

Erika: "Yeah, yeah."

"So, what exactly have you been up to over last year?"

Jiraiyah: "Well, my step parents have been doing pretty good recently!"

"My other set of 'parents' , though, have been trying their damn hardest to barge back in."

"But everything else is fine! I can just forget about them the longer I don't see them!"

Erika: "Y'know, I really hope they leave you the hell alone someday."

"But, that's enough catching up, we've got territory to explore!"

"We're currently in an unfamiliar location, so charting it is of the utmost importance!"

Jiraiyah: "Yeah, you're right! We can take on whatever comes our way!" Now, which way do we go?"
