This game is still being worked on! Wow!!
I’m happy to be writing this, after so long (over three years) since the last proper report.
Progress has been slow, but we’re still working on getting the game out.
GAMEPAGE
A bit before I posted this, I updated the game page with some new stuff. There’s some screenshots of updates to the main menu, a new thumbnail, some act 1 and act 2 stuff, but most notably…
New music tracks have been added to the game page, alongside some older, scrapped music!
New tracks include the following:

I didn’t spell “Unbelievable” wrong, that’s what it’s called. Or, that’s what the file is called. I don’t know. I didn’t ask. I just think its funny.
That song was mostly made by Op (@cringe_hq
), like most of the rest of the music for this game, but Torva (@Torblah
) did the ending to the song.

ACT I
It’s been so long since the last proper progress report, that I forgot we had almost no progress back then. Well, Nick (@wolffe731
) made a new act 1 engine a few years ago, (what!) and Calem’s (@Calem28
) been helping with making the overworld rooms and other stuff.
It’s shaping up to be pretty much its own mini RPG.
This is easily the most time-consuming and ambitious part of the project, attempting to expand on act 1 in a way that feels worthwhile. Even though it's been taking very long to make, I’m happy with how it's turning out. The entire first area of it has been (pretty much) completed!
Here's some stuff from it:

ACT II
Act II is fully playable, start to end of the main battle. Even though some things will likely change, (dialogue, mostly. Probably some attacks, too…) the fight is in a finished state, with some cool stuff in it.

Also, I do have bad news. For a long time now, I wanted there to be alternate sprite choices for the main battle in Act II. Unfortunately, this will no longer be a feature. It just isn’t worth the effort, with how much I started to do with the main sprite. Sorry to those who might’ve been looking forward to that.
ACT III
I’ve done like, two things on it since last time.
I'm not lying to stop from spoiling anything, I really just haven't worked on it.

Ggamer remake

Nick started to do a remake of ggamer the game for the full version of revenge! I don’t know if he still actually wants to do this!!
Updated Logo

Torva made this logo a while back. I didn’t ask her to, she just kinda posted in the discord one day. Still, it looks much better than the old one, so we use this one now.
Achievements
I don’t remember if I said this before, but achievements will be in this game. I stole the achievement jingle noise from Cezar Andrade’s Disbelief.
I figured out how to get it to work with actual gamejolt achievements, too, which is neat.
LAST WORDS
It’s been so long since I’ve written one of these, that I had to look back at past devlogs multiple times to remember just how much stuff has been made, and what we’ve already shown since then.
It’s hard to believe that I’m still working on this, more than five years later. I’ll try to finish it, with every bit of motivation I can find. Thanks to the members of the team that were, and are still here, helping, and giving feedback.
