Ranking all the fnam games released in 2021 from worst to best

Hello, everyone. Philip from Nyctodream typing. For fun, I decided to review all the FNaM games that were released as of 2021. So, if you are from the future and reading this if there was a FNaM 2, 3, 4 reboot out. They are not included in this list because... Well... They are not out by the time I am typing this. I will not go in depth with how these games are like as I made 2-3 separate reviews on the classic FNaM games, and one review recently for the reboot. I'll just give my simplified thoughts and move on. Just so you would know: These are MY SUBJECTIVE OPINIONS. If you disagree with my list, that's perfectly okay. I have 0 right to blast you. But I ask that you do not blast me to. And no, I am not including the MS Paint games.

Number 5 - Five Nights at Maggie's (2016)

Were any of you like... Really surprised this ended up here? I already gave my reasons why I do not like FNaM '16, the game is unoriginal, has nothing that other fan-games did not do better even by 2016 standards, the game isn't fun nor scary, and you get the point. Yea, nothing to say here that isn't new, moving on.

Number 4 - Five Nights at Maggie's 3 (2018)
A game that, I honestly was so hyped for back then. You see, unlike FNaM '16 where I disliked it even from the beginning, I actually used to enjoy FNaM 3. Now however, this game did not age well. Well, 90% of it anyway. I liked Night 1's gameplay but that's really it. Nights 2-5 were not very good, the nightmare minigame in between nights suck ass, and the main plot (with the detective) makes no sense. The backstory of Cerdi and Jerry was pretty interesting though, but that's just it. Besides Night 1, the 8bit cutscenes, there isn't much of FNaM 3 that I can say I unironically enjoyed.

Number 3 - Five Nights at Maggie's 2 (2016)

Great, now we are getting onto a game that actually has some good qualities to it that outshine the negatives. FNaM 2, even now, is a good FNaF 4-esque game. Sure, it's not a very polished game, it is rough around the edges, but I can still enjoy this game and have not many issues with it. And if you love FNaF 4, you might find enjoyment with this one. The only reason why I placed it this low on the list, is the same reason why some people would not like FNaF 4. The game for some people, can scary. Perhaps even too scary. Sure, FNaF 4 has more violent and in your face scares, but FNaM 2 still has that terrifying edge that FNaF 4 had. But if you can get pass that, you are in for a decent FNaF game with and okay story.

Number 2 - Five Nights at Maggie's 4 (2020)

FNaM 4 is still a great fnaf fan game even to this day. And is, in my opinion, what FNaF 2 should have been. Because, confession time folks, I did not like FNaF 2. There are mechanics that are outright useless, all of them act the exact same, etc. FNaM 4, in my opinion, took what FNaF 2 did, sprinkled in some elements from FNaF 6/FFPS, and did something great. You have a lot of things to manage, some animatronics act differently, the difficulty does not feel artificial, and when you get a game over, it feels like your fault and not just terrible RNG. For me, at least. The game, while not as scary as FNaM 2 or the reboot, is still great. It's a more "fast-paced" kind of fear whereas FNaM 2 is a more "slow-paced" kind of fear. Like with Outlast and Amnesia. I still recommend this to anyone who would like to play a FNaF fan game that is simple and has a decent story.

Number 1 - Five Nights at Maggie's (2021)

Cmon, you all were expecting this to be number 1. FNaM '21 was almost everything I wanted out of a FNaF fan-game. It did not try to be original for the sake of being original, it had a fairly decent set-up to a story, unique character designs, and it didn't try to be a blatant copy of any of the main games. The horror in FNaM '21 is, in my opinion, almost perfect. Remember when I said FNaM 4 is a fast-paced kind of horror and FNaM 2 is a slow-paced kind of horror? FNaM '21, for the most part, reaches that middle ground, and I love it for that. The game also gave me good memories to the old days in 2014-2015 when FNaF was still new. I don't know how, but it just did. I got flashbacks to when I first saw Foxy running down the West Hall when I saw Chanchi run to my office, I had flashbacks to when Bonnie would be in the west hall corner and I would think that he is actually outside my door when I saw Lola at the other side of the door hall thinking she was at her "attack" phase, I had flashbacks to when I saw Freddy's eyes glow in the dark when I saw Maggie doing just that. This game gave me so many memories to FNaF 1 without being a blatant copy, and I literally cannot name even one fan-game that ever did that. And honestly, that's all I ever wanted in a fnaf fan-game. A game that borrowed mechanics from original games and tried to make something new out of it, and not trying to create nonsense mechanics that are the way they are just for the sake of innovation or originality. Creating something original or innovative is good, but doing it just for the sake of it and risking the quality isn't. FNaM '21, doesn't fall into those issues. I can say with full confidence, that this game is the best in the series, hell, the best the entire FNaF fan-games can offer in my opinion. Yea, I am saying this right now, FNam '21 is my favourite FNaF fan game. And don't get me wrong, that's not to belittle other fan-games, I still love POPGOES, Five Nights at Candy's, and so on. But FNaM '21 holds a special place to me.

Well, that's all I gotta say. Thank you for listening to my pep-talk or reading my pep-text of what I think are the worst to best FNaM games. I still do not know if Manuel is making a sequel, and if he is, I just hope he isn't making it just for the sake of there being one. Manuel, again, if you are reading this, thank you for this amazing series. And, I wish you luck on whatever you are doing. As for the rest of you, if you disagree with my list or what else I said during said list, that's perfectly okay. We can all agree to disagree.

This is Philip Buchanon from Nyctodream Creations signing off.
