Reading everything about the situation, I cannot help but feel a sense of contentment.

The exposure document developed by BlueGirl and Hunter Allen outlines experiences, situations, and decisions that exist within an applied context. While parts of it have been embellished or directly misinterpreted, there are parts that are true, and I can admit that there were definitely moments where I have gone overboard in my practices and attempts to lead a team.

As many of you know, I had planned to leave this community the moment JOLLY 4 was released. You’ve been provided with the 2021 Clickteam build, which means my obligation to this community is over. As you all also know, with the release of the build, JOLLY 4 has been publicly canceled. It was privately canceled between Ivan and me in October of 2024, with the only chance of its revival being that we saw dedicated progress on the game by the Summer of 2025. The truth is, for a long time, we have not wanted to do this anymore. Neither of us play these games anymore; we don’t play fangames or interact with fangame developers. We’re not children; we understood it was time to move on from this community and also understood that it’s completely irrational to be so stressed out over the completion of a FNaF fangame. So, as I got off my plane and checked my phone to see that an exposure document about me had been released on Discord, at that moment, all I could feel was an overwhelming sense of relief.

(I will not attempt to explain the document in this post or any other post. I do not consider this situation drastic or important enough to take the time and energy to address accusations that have no real impact on me as an actual person, just as a Gamejolt profile.)

What this situation is really is overachievers unable to see the fault in their perfectionism and realize that when they overdo things, they cannot face the pressure when things get difficult. So, they are now retaliating in a public method instead of taking the time to communicate their problems (anyone who truly knows me that communication will always get you the furthest. If you are going to let your problems sit and fester, I do not wish to be met with your reaction when you finally burst). In doing so, they have made mountains out molehills regarding true issues and also baseless accusations they have found ways to make implications toward.

It has become clear to me is that the fangame scene is not the correct environment to promote a professional or business-oriented environment where money is used as an incentive. It is not appropriate behavior in a fangame or a fan showcase program. Fangames are volunteer work and are considered passion projects, and they should remain as such. Things can become muddy once you involve money and payment into the situation, and intentions are often misinterpreted.

That said, the only accusation that I would truly like to address directly are the comments concerning the VIP money obtained by fans of JOLLY. My goal has always been to release this project in its highest quality, and the money accumulated by patrons has always been for my team. Team member money has never been used for any personal benefit, I have it set aside in an account completely separate from my checking or savings accounts and have not touched it. Ivan knows of this, as did Blue Girl. Those who remain on my team and in our development server will be paid for their work on the project.

Keep in mind that the majority of fangame teams are not paid; it is not expected by the project’s developer to pay their team members because these are fangames, not Triple-A projects. Most people who work in fangame development teams are volunteers and know they are volunteers. Additionally, most of the people working on these games are minors who are working with other minors to create a fan project based on a game franchise made for minors to play. I was a minor for about 90% of my time working on JOLLY 4. This is a community full of minors, nobody normal over the age of 20 plays or bothers to work on Five Nights at Freddy’s unless they work at Steel Wool.

Almost everyone on the JOLLY team assumed they would work without being paid, and those who expected pay knew how our payment system operated: this is a team effort; you get paid when everyone working on your assignment is finished. Being paid as a fangame helper outside of the Fanverse is a privilege, and I was happy to provide that for the current members of my now-disbanded team both as an incentive to make progress on an ambitious game and to compensate them for their hard work.

That’s all I needed cleared up; you can believe me if you’d like to, but it really doesn’t matter. I’m fine with being exposed with what is probably one of the lesser “offenses” in this community: I wasn’t exposed for being a pedophile, and I wasn’t exposed for being a racist. I was exposed for making people work too hard on an ambitious project and constructing a way to prevent my project from being further leaked after realizing two members of my team were from The Pear.

I can admit that I made a grave error in trying to create an efficient work system and maintain confidentiality, and I genuinely apologize to those who feel they have been effected by it, but it doesn’t excuse sending death and suicide threats, doxing me, and contacting my family. That’s actually insane behavior, if you didn’t know that already, and it really doesn’t make you any better than the person you perceive me as. It probably makes you worse, but if you don’t care, neither do I. Anyway, if you can forgive other developers for actually grooming minors, sending gore and death threats to fans, and making racial comments, you can excuse me for pushing too hard for efficient progress on a game I was passionate about when I was 14 years old. Sorry I went about it the wrong way, it was never my intention to hurt anyone.

All in all, I'm happy that this is over. This has been fun, and I've achieved so much experience from working on JOLLY 4 these past few years. It has landed me incredible opportunities as a writer and in communications and marketing departments. I'm forever grateful for the support you all gave JOLLY 4 over the past three years, and I am thankful to BlueGirl and Hunter Allen for finally letting me move on with my life and fully focus on being a young adult. This was the push I needed, there's no hard feelings on my end.

Make sure to put the hate aside and stream Lana Del Rey we can’t let her flop out. #FuckTaylorSwift
