so, i've noticed this post where this person is giving the fandom a reality check on UTY and pretty much the whole Undertale prequels genre. I've seen a lot of fans saying "OMG!!! Undertale yellow it's so canon girrrrl!! you can't prove me wrong!", or "UTY isn't good cause it isn't made in Toby's style!!", and with this post I wanna give both of these type of fans a friendly reminder, please consider my words clearly.

I don't see anything wrong if in your HC the events of UTY happened, though you have to consider that devs have specified that the game isn't meant to be considered official, yet, most of the people completly threw these words out of the window and started BOMBARDING other fan made prequels asking if the game is canon to UTY and claiming to be "dissapointed and mad" when the devs of that game replies with a simple "no". I wanna say to these people to please stop considering a FAN GAME an actual canon thing to the OG game, you can still make an headcanon? sure! just remember that your headcanon is yours and other people might have different opinions from you, I think the original intent for the UTY devs was the game not to be considered as official, Toby left the human souls in the complete mistery cause he wanted the fans to let their immagination go wild. so all the prequels are still considered AUs, mostly because Toby didn't revealed a lot of stuff for the previous humans so we don't even know what's canon and what's not.

about the people being salty on UTY and most of the Undertale prequels just because they're not 100% faithful to the source material, let me say that this is an extremely childish behaviour, fan games are made by fans and not by the real devs so of course it's not gonna be "similar" to Toby and Temmie's style, UTY has its own flaws for sure, nothing is absolutely perfect, but critizing the game just because isn't Tobycore is just not a fair criticism to give, it's like comparing a fan art to Temmie's art style and say that the fan art is bad because it doesn't rappresent Temmie's style of drawing, this is just straight up demotivating for the artist cause there's no "better" art style than the other, you can say "I like this art style more", that's already a better phrase to say than "YOUR ART STYLE SUCKS BECAUSE IT ISN'T IN THE STYLE OF TEMMIE!!!", everyone has their own style of making things, we're all different for a reason but still humans
