There was a stage previously talking about the game's roadmap, and in said roadmap was a rework to Rocketeer's landmine ability. This is an early stage on both a new mechanic and the rework. The new mechanic in sentence is "Hitbox Colliders". Basically, when it a hitbox is casted, it can detect for players - and also "Hitbox Colliders" that can activate certain events when connected! In this case, when the blast mine is stepped nearby it will bounce off the ground temporarily before exploding. If the Anomaly takes the full force of the mine, they will be inflicted with Deafened and Slowness II for 2 seconds. If the killer were to attack the mine before it lands and explodes, it will be parried in the direction it was hit - applying the same effect to survivors hit in it's radius after collision. Dash attacks (such as Mari's Pursuit or Drakobloxxer's Feral Frenzy) setoff mines early, allowing for reaction on the survivor's end.
All properties shown in the sneak peak such as hitboxes/collider size/vfx/etc. ARE NOT FINAL and will likely be changed by the devs, as this is still an early concept!
