Now at first i automatically assumed that Charles was the CEO but that might not be the case.

He might be close to the CEO, but not the CEO himself. Possibly the son or brother of the CEO. Someone who's still high up but might not be the highest there is.

Then another possibility is that we're dealing with an Edwin situation.

In secret of the mimic Edwin's company existed before he took ownership of it, belonging to his father. Maybe Charles' father passed or gave ownership of the company to Charles. Which might explain why he and the other employees are confused about the tape at Timmy's party. The older employees and CEO don't work there anymore, thus the newer staff don't know about the incident.

also this is just something i noticed, and it might not mean anything at all, but the Herbertson robotics and engineering logo looks strikingly similar to Jason's company logo.
