So the first week of production has seen some ups and some downs,
what do i have to show for all the hard work so far?
There is 3 levels (Acts) to play through atm, i have a full story planned upto a point.
I have struggled to get smart AI and this has been very time consuming, but as of today i think i have nailed it.
Still not sure about the mechanics i have put in place (second guessing myself st every turn) it all sounded good at the time of design, i will roll with it for now, a story driven survival story.
Again i added a html5 version for on site play but i have issues with my light surface, so again removed i can’t fix it, seems to be an engine problem.
Act 1 - Get some Wheels
The aim of this level is to get to grips with the general gameplay, controls are arrow keys and space is the action key, fully integrated usb controller as well, cntrl key is to run. You need to search for a key to gain entry into your neighbours house, with the whole street turned in to brain seeking zombies you need to be pateint, the zombies will die after being exposed to sun light for a certain amount of time.
Act 2 - No name yet
Drive through the streets heading towards your story driven goal.
Act 3 - GraveYard shift
You need to get through the graveyard to progress the story, it’s crawling with zombies, find the exit before you get eaten.
This is a huge project, i may seek to bring in a few partners at some stage as it grows.
Whats next?
Next up is completing Bob’s story line to the break, at this point i will introduce the second character in the story, Lily or Stan, order not confirmed but all 3 are integeral to the complete story of Redwood Creek.
Future improvements
Replace Make shift graphics,
Add sound.
A quick thank you to the followers, building interest at this early stage is key to bringing a better end experience.
