Release 0.2.0 Enhancements

I’ve always preferred games that allowed customization of your character. Whether it be by powerups or upgrading your attributes and / or skills.

One of the main design goals for this game was to add in some customization. This is done by upgrading your attribute points: Vitality, Dexterity, Strength and Wisdom.

For this release only Dexterity has any effect. Increasing dexterity increases your movement and turning speed. Each level (one block on the upgrade GUI) increases your movement speed by an additional 10% over the base movement speed for a whopping 50% increase if you max out dexterity.

Okay, so with that out of the way let me do the normal notes:

  1. Added an Attribute Customization GUI

  2. Implemented the GUI when the player collects the appropriate item and earns attribute upgrade points

  3. Implemented the speed boost effect based on the player’s current dexterity level

  4. Changed the game window size from 800x600 to 1024x768
