Game
Choices are Magic

Remake isn't happening, V3.0 is slowly happening.

So, after some experiments with gamejolt (wheter it would’ve or wouldn’t have run the game in HTML), we came to conclusion that remaking the whole game isn’t a good idea.

What does that mean? It means that you’ll still have to install Quest in order to get it working.

The more stories I’ll make, the bigger the file will be (unless I’ll start to recycle stuff, like music, which isn’t that good idea.)

Currently, the size of the file that has 2 stories in it is 82,4 Mb (including installer, which is like 10Mb large)

I had few ideas :

a) I’ll start converting the music and pictures so they’ll be smaller (resulting in lower quality). Currently, the quality of the pictures is good, and music is in 320kbps (also good quality). I have no idea what the result will be, but it shouldn’t be very different. (at least I hope so)

b) same as a), but along a) I’ll also make another download for those who’ll want the HQ version (so I’ll make lower quality stuff AND keep the high quality stuff). The only problem is that it’ll take extra time to do both. (not that much tho)

c) I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing the same way, in the same quality, without low quality version.

I’d really like to hear your opinion. (in case there’ll be none, I’ll just decide somehow :D

Aaaaand now about V3.0 progress :

I’ve decided, the story will be about the same character as it was intended, but the story will differ a lot from original idea.

I’m already slowly writing story (only thought of problem, few endings and some details).

There’s a chance that the story will be less complicated than the last one (V2.0), so that means the choices will still matter, just not as much as they did in V2.0. The reasong behind this is that the complexity of the story (from developer’s side) was really disorienting and that led me to partly giving up on finnishing it.

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.

I have added rewards for quests so that villagers can give you something in return for your hard work helping them. 🥳

I want to know - what's your favourite quest reward?

"Our work is never over" they said.

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.
