This probably won't be a popular game, but my favorite platformer is Nefarious. On the one hand, it's not the best platformer, but it allows you to play as a villain in villainous machines and break the heroes with the words "AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHA YOU CAN'T BEAT ME, HERO!"
