Restructuring a universe


Greetings fellow space captains!

In order to fixx all issues which i had with the planets, i startet to completly overwork and reorganize the game. You will propably never notice the changes I made so far but I want to explain whats exactly happening right now to make the developing process more transparent!

Till i started working on the planets, the 2 different sectors (alpha01 and alpha02) where completly seperated from each other. Their was no chance of flying from one sector into the other one ecept by using the hyperdrive wich kind of loads you into the new sector, destroying the old one. The game was kind of split into two different files.

Now the two sectors are next to each other. They are seperated by invisible walls at the moment but these walls will be removed in one of the future updates.

As the picture above shows, a barrier seperates the two sectors and it can only be overcome by using the hyperdrive.
Nothing new for the player, a big change for me, the developer.
Reorganizing the game like that fixxed almost all the issues i had and opens new possibilitys!

In the future you will be able to fly from one sector into the other or even into a third one without even buying a hyperdrive!
On the right side of the picture you can see that you can seamless travel between the sectors without the hyperdrive but you can of course still youse the hyperdrive to safe time and shipfuel.

The next update will add planets to the game (3 so far). You can explore them and also place mining stations on their surface.
The following update is going to enable seamless traveling and a third sector with a new design!
