The game has now been reuploaded with the errors fixed!
There seems to be a problem that occurs when meeting Balloon Boy that causes the game to inadvertently close. This scene has been tested multiple times by both us and the early access guys, and we think it may be something to do with Windows 8.
See if the problem is fixed by running it in Windows 7 compatibility mode
(Right click .exe > Properties > Compatibility)
